Chalk Paint Tip #2

Tip #2We had such a great response to the launch of our Chalk Paint® Tip series yesterday. Thanks for all the fantastic feedback! Let me know if you have any specific questions that you would like to address in a future Chalk Paint® Tip by emailing me at lisa@sweetsouthcottage.com.

Chalk Paint Tip #2: You know that feeling you have when you have just finished painting your piece of furniture and then you see a paint brush bristle in the dried or drying paint? You mutter to yourself “Son of a Biscuit Eater” and proceed to pick at the offending hair with your nail. The next thing you know, you have chipped a spot away on your newly painted piece. X Acto Blog

Well I have a happier ending to this story. I use an X Acto to very carefully slide under the bristle to remove it. Then I peel the bristle away and smooth the resulting lines with 600 grit sandpaper to fold the paint back into itself. I hope this saves many of you future frustration.
